Terms of Use

Last updated

These terms apply to your use of ImageDoctor. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

The service

ImageDoctor provides free tools for working with images, PDFs, QR codes and barcodes. The tools run in your web browser and don't require an account. We may add, change or remove tools at any time, and we don't guarantee that the site will always be available.

Your content

You keep all rights to the files you open and the results you create. Because processing happens on your device, we don't receive, store or claim any licence to your content.

You are responsible for your content and for making sure you have the right to use, edit and share it — including photos of other people, logos and trademarks.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to:

  • Create or edit material that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
  • Forge, alter or counterfeit official documents, identity documents or product identifiers.
  • Create QR codes, labels or other material intended to mislead or defraud people, such as phishing links or fake payment codes.
  • Interfere with the site, attempt to disrupt it, or access it by automated means in a way that places an unreasonable load on it.

Results and your responsibility

The tools are designed to be accurate, but results depend on your files, device and browser. Please check the output before relying on it, and keep a copy of your original files.

  • Passport, visa and ID photos: the tools set size and resolution only. They don't check that a photo meets official requirements, which vary by country and change over time.
  • QR codes and barcodes: always test printed codes with several devices before a print run. Retail barcode numbers (GTIN, EAN, UPC) must be obtained from GS1 or your retailer; generating an image doesn't make a number valid for your product.
  • Label sheets and print layouts: print a test page on plain paper, at 100% scale, before using label stock.
  • Metadata removal and redaction: check the downloaded file before sharing sensitive material.

Third-party services and links

The site links to websites and services we don't control, including the AI Background Remover, which is a separate program with its own licence, and OpenStreetMap. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies. The site also uses Microsoft Clarity for analytics, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Our intellectual property

The ImageDoctor name, logo, design and site content belong to us. Open-source components used by the site remain under their own licences. You may not copy or reuse our branding without permission.

No warranty

The site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ImageDoctor and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the site — including rejected applications, misprinted materials or codes that fail to scan. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
