Converting WebP to PNG
Add WebP files above and download PNGs. Choose PNG over JPG when the image has a transparent background you need to keep, or when you are going to edit it and don't want each save to lose quality.

PNG or JPG?
- PNG — logos, stickers, cut-outs and graphics with transparency; screenshots; anything you will keep editing.
- JPG — photographs without transparency, especially for email and uploads with size limits. Use WebP to JPG; the file will be much smaller than a PNG.
If the PNG comes out too large for where it's going, reduce its dimensions — PNG size scales with pixel count, and there is no quality setting to lower.
Common questions
Yes. PNG supports full transparency, so transparent and semi-transparent areas come through unchanged.
No. It is an exact copy of the WebP's pixels. It won't lose anything further when saved again, but it can't undo earlier compression.
PNG is lossless, so it can't discard detail to save space the way WebP does. For photographs without transparency, JPG is a much smaller choice.
